NELSON MARKS IVES

Eben Ives has received word of the death of his oldest brother, N. M. Ives, which occurred at the home of a son of the deceased at Topeka, Kansas, Feb. 6th. The deceased was here about four years ago on a visiting tour. For years he was engaged in the newspaper business at Ottumwa, Iowa, but of late years made his home with his son at Topeka, the only surviving member of his family. Deceased was a member of the Masonic fraternity in high standing and was a pensioner of the Mexican war. He was the eldest son of the Ives brothers, having attained his 82nd year.
